3M stone chip protection with structure cartridge black

This stone chip protection from 3M is based on rubber. It is used for coating car body surfaces. Can be overpainted with solvent-based paints; for water-based paints, a 1 K primer should be applied before application to improve paint adhesion.

Application instructions:
The stone chip protection is applied with a pistol for 1 litre cartridges. The output pressure is related to the surface structure ( 4 to 5 bar ). In car body construction, this stone chip protection is overpainted after approx. 60 minutes drying time, but in practice often much earlier. The top coat acts as a barrier layer, i.e. the solvents in the stone chip protection can no longer evaporate. For a perfect result it makes sense to let the stone chip protection dry out completely after application (at least 24 hours at 20 degrees). The surface should then be sanded with a red pad and a plastic bonding agent applied. Now the top coat can be applied. The colour selection of the stone chip protection depends on the colour of the top coat.
